Have a "bullseye" canteen that needs spruced up? Here's a defarb kit made with all custom materials, which will be shipped to you upon order:There were many variations of Philadelphia's corrugated "bullseye" canteen made, ranging from four to over a dozen rings. Luckily for us, the typical reproduction version best matches the earlier contracts that would have been seen in the field beginning in late 1862 and early 1863. Most of these earlier corrugated canteens were covered in scrap uniform cloth and blankets, or any cheap, ugly wool fabric purchased locally. Other canteens included striped cotton twill tape slings. This Group Buy features the materials to copy an original corrugated Philadelphia canteen in its original as-issued configuration--with a striped cotton twill tape sling and heavy twilled woolen cover. Both materials were custom made by Family Heirloom Weavers to match the original exactly, and the canteen comes with a custom Philadelphia-specific canteen stopper.
