Printed in Richmond in 1863 by order of General Bragg for distribution to officers throughout the army, "A System for Conducting Musketry Instruction" is a unique manual.  It provides detail on a variety of topics from estimating distance to different sight pictures to how to control breathing while aiming and firing to how to apply pressure to the trigger.  This facsimile reproduction includes digitally cleaned text formatted into folded signatures and hand stitched together as per the original, with paper wrappers glued on.
